CORNICE COVID-19 STATEMENT
Effective June 15, 2021
To our CORNICE family,
We believe our repair services are the cornerstone of communities and facilitate continued access to information and education, by way of functioning IT Equipment and Infrastructure. During the pandemic crisis we all experienced in 2020, and early 2021, it was even more important than ever for our customers to know they could count on us. As a result of the State of Emergency declared by Governor Newsom of California due to the COVID-19 Health Threat in March 2020, our company continued operations as an “Essential Business to Communications and IT Infrastructure”, as set forth by the Federal Government in the original “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE” Memorandum (click here for the latest version).
Effective June 15, 2021 Governor Newsom took action to lift the previously issued pandemic executive orders as the state issued Beyond the Blueprint to fully and safely reopen. That includes terminating the Stay-at-Home Order that was implemented early in the pandemic to protect Californians and retiring the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. Effective June 15, restrictions such as physical distancing, capacity limits and the county tier system ended. You can read the full press release here and you can read the full details of Beyond the Blueprint here.
We take the health, safety and well being of our employees, customers, vendors, and communities very seriously and with great compassion. We will continue to perform the cleaning measures recommended by the CDC to keep our public access area, and all of our work areas, clean and sanitized. To that end, while we have increased the frequency of hand washing, cleaning and sanitization of our facilities for employee uses, we are temporarily denying access to our employee restroom to all customers in order to best comply with these guidelines and protect the safety and well-being of all parties.
The State Public Health Officer issued an Order effective June 15, 2021, but even though the state is reopening there are still guidelines for face coverings, even if vaccinated. We will continue to wear a face covering when we greet our customers, and even though the state lifted the face mask covering mandate for vaccinated people, face coverings are still required for those who are unvaccinated. We would prefer that you wear a face covering when you visit us, even if you are vaccinated, due to the layout of our lobby. PLEASE properly wear your face covering. There are exceptions for children under two years of age, and for those with certain medical conditions that you can read about in the “Exemptions to Masks Requirements” section.
Please follow our guidelines BEFORE you bring your Mac or iOS Device into our Lobby:
- Please remove any external case(s) or shell(s), and also remove the Keyboard Cover (if any). We do not need any cables or power cords or power adapters, unless they are related to the issue you are having (i.e.- if your iMac or MacBook Pro is having power or charging issues, you can bring in the Power Cord or Power Adapter). If you have questions about which items you need to bring in for your repair, please ask us and we’ll be glad to assist you.
- We don’t need the box your Mac or iOS Device came in, please only bring in your Mac or iOS Device.
- Please ensure you have backed up your data on your Mac or iOS Device (if possible).
- Please Turn OFF “Find My…” on your Mac or iOS Device.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding in these difficult and unprecedented times!
We express our deepest gratitude to the first responders and those on the front lines that are battling this virus, and pray for their health and safety!
We pray you and your loved ones stay healthy and safe!
If you, or any of your loved ones, are unwell, we pray for a full recovery!
